BUSINESS TRAVEL EXPECTED NOT TO REACH ITS PRE-PANDEMIC GLORY UNTIL 2025
By Sea and Coast | 04/03/2021

Business travel lost its essence due to the pandemic travel restrictions. Even after the relief on restrictions, it is not expected to recover until 2025 because only about 27% of the companies expect to squander money on travel in the coming six months as most of them have found reliable replacement to connect with the clients via teleconferencing thereby saving billions in transportation costs.

The main concern is when will this travel scenario return back to its pre-pandemic glory and even if does who will want to access it. The corporate chiefs and heads of various organizations have affirmed the efficacy of video-conferencing and the economic values that tag along. The Global Business Travel Association deems that the pre-pandemic peak of $1.4 trillion on global commercial travel expenditure will be hard to recover.

A multitude of business travellers have developed a mindset where they believe they can maintain existing commercial relationships and begin new ones via teleconferencing. As the implementation of vaccines will make the common folk more comfortable, the travel industry is expecting a lift to bolster up the demands for leisure trips and travels. But the business travel is claimed to lag the consumer travel. The discussion cannot be terminated until and unless the health emergency is stopped and even if the comeback of the business travel is set in motion, the companies won’t abandon the methods that assisted their growth during the pandemic.
