NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY BAHRAIN (November 21, 2021) – Coalition Task Force (CTF) Sentinel, the operational arm of the International Maritime Security Construct (IMSC), held a change of command ceremony onboard Naval Support Activity Bahrain, November 18.

Royal Navy Commodore Don Mackinnon relieved fellow Royal Navy Commodore Gordon Ruddock as commander of CTF Sentinel in the ceremony presided over by Commodore Edward Alhgren, deputy commander Combined Maritime Forces.

Before handing over command, Commodore Ruddockrecognized IMSC’s staff for its strengths and noted that the bonds of trust and mutual respect between coalition nations was vital to the enduring success of the mission.

“Command, relationships, friendships and partnerships make us greater than the sum of our parts,” said Ruddock. “I have truly felt that the tapestry of nations represented at CTF Sentinel have enhanced our teamwork and military capability.”
