Container ship collided with fishing vessel, rescued 7, 2 remain missing

Container ship GREEN PACIFIC collided with fishing vessel TTH 92206TS at around 1000 LT Aug 14 some 30 nm northeast of Con Co island, Quang Tri province, Gulf of Tonkin, Vietnam. Fishing vessel sank, GREEN PACIFIC returned to collision site and rescued 7 fishermen, 2 remain missing. Container ship was diverted to Cua Viet port to disembark rescued fishermen, 6 of whom were injured. After disembarking fishermen, GREEN PACIFIC resumed voyage, she’s en route from Hai Phong to Quy Nhon port, Binh Dinh Province.
