Eight Chinese ports container volume up by 3.5%

In eight major Chinese ports the container volume augmented by 3.57% in late June compared to mid-June.

The growth rate of Dalian port, Guangzhou port and SCCT terminal of Shenzhen port exceeded 10%. Container export volumes augmented by 3.11% comparing to mid-June. The domestic container volume augmented by 4.83%. Crude oil shipments at major coastal ports increased 33.9% year-on-year in late June, while the port inventories increased 28.9%.

Metal ore shipments at major ports increased 5.83% year-on-year, among which the growth rate of Tianjin port and Rizhao port exceeded 20%, while inventory volume declined 10.5%. In June, Container volume at hub ports increased 0.57% year-on-year, recuperating to the same level as last year’s.
